Tris secretly contacted me through email to plan this one month before Jen's 25th birthday!! He even come all the way to to my unit, knock on my door because he doesn't have my cellular number or email at first.. How sweet!!!

Our plan changes all the time, we have to email and call each other behind Jen's back!! Actually i am very worried Jen will sense something.. Lucky me!

So here is the blue print:

Booked the whole restaurant : 1-Caramel
Called her out on 10th Nov
Simple dinner with Sam and me
Tris called and pretend to be very ill and couldn't make it to the dinner
Make sure you talk her to dress up for birthday celebration
Delay time in the mall, wait for Tris to call as he required some time to decorate the place
Walk her to the restaurant
Blindfold her about 3min before the restaurant
Ignore all the stare from curious passerby
*very embarrassing, blind fold on street is teenager play*
Bring her to the special designed cake
Ask her to open her eyes
Prince charming will pop from behind with a bouquet of 99 white rose
knee down....

The whole restaurant is booked! There is only 4 of us!!
Very excited, was my first time to have such a private dinning experience, best of all we are having Italian cuisine *happiness*

Compliment dish Fore Gras coated with peanut crush and a slash of mango puree

Warm truffle mascarpone cheese with caramelize onion on tart
An amazing experience... you can taste the sweetness of caramelize onion, the cheesyness of the mascarpone, mild fragrant of the buttery crunch tart and rounding up with the richness of holly truffle.. Oh my~

Complement dish vanilla orange sorbert with hint of chili

Not a fan of chili, didn't taste any chili here so it was fabulous!Shellfish Risotto with fresh crab meat, scallop, tiger prawn and asparagus

This would be the thickest scallop i have ate! Juice splurging good.. The King prawn is fat meaty chunky!! Shiok

It's dessert time!!
Chef prepared a 4 course dessert for us!!

1st dessert : Cassis Tiramisu
Cassis is a place in the southern of french

Macaron with edible GOLD!!

No alcohol, no mocha, no sponge cake as base just berries and yogurt creme

This isnt what i expect, mild sour but very refreshing especially after the heavy carbo plate we had before this

2nd dessert : Souffle with hot chocolate sauce

Souffle was good! The texture was very light and smooth

3rd dessert : Baci Tartufo with gold flake
Italian flat bottom ice cream in a chocolate shell desert

Even though it was written on the menu but the kampong us didnt know what a Tartufo is!! We thought "ah chocolate ball" but...

Tah~ inside the shell there is vanilla ice cream!!
Very well made desert!! we totally dig in!! I suspect they use quality Belgium chocolate as base *really taste like the chocolate Fullerton desert kitchen use* Have to mention they bake really good Biscotti!! hope they sell on the rack~ i will come back for biscotti if i pass by The Cathay

4th dessert : Mug baked molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream

Our last dish loaded us with sweet and happiness!!!

Buffet after our spa retreat, crazy us had steamboat buffet at 10pm!!

It's empty because we came as 10pm!! Boss Yan say the shop was full house just now~ she never even had her dinner at 11+pm even after we are done...

They are famous for their spicy soup base but we pick the tom yam + special soup base

Chilli paste, not the spicy kind but very appetizing

Another sauce i love: Sesame sauce + Salted green vegetable paste above, shiok with the shabu shabu meat slice
